On 1st March 2011, BCSSNS organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Day at the Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban. Some committee members and hospital staff were present at the awareness programme. Our aim for organizing this programme was to bring awareness to the public on the various departments that are involved in helping the breast cancer patients.
The various departments invited were the Day Care Centre , Pharmacy, Radiology, Dietician, Welfare Department, Occupational Therapist, Klinik Kesihatan and Klinik LPPKN. Klinik Kesihatan had a free PEP Smear Test for the public. LPPKN registered women for a subsidized mammogram. Goodie bags sponsored by Alpro Pharmacy and Seremban Premier Pharmacy was given to all those who registered with us. This event is now ear marked as an annual event and various other organizations are emulating it. A beautician was also invited to look into aesthetic aspect of the patients.
